Company Update
Our SUE (Subsurface Utilities Engineering) capabilities just took a major step forward! With the addition of this new vac truck, BCSC is continuing to invest in the tools and technology that allow us to deliver safer, more precise, non-destructive excavation. This upgrade strengthens our ability to support clients efficiently while maintaining the high level of quality and reliability they expect from our team.
Project/Client Spotlight
BCSC is proud to support KB Home on this community amenity project in Lillington, NC, featuring a thoughtfully collaborative designed pool and clubhouse space by BCSC and D. Clugston. This inviting amenity area includes a resort-style pool with ample seating, shaded gathering areas, and a nearby playground, creating a central hub for residents to relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors. We’re excited to see this vibrant space come together for the community!
Industry Updates
July continues to see strong momentum across the surveying industry, with growing demand driven by ongoing infrastructure investment and rapid development across the East Coast. Advances in drone technology, mobile LiDAR, and data integration are helping teams deliver faster, more precise results, while an increased focus on utility coordination and SUE services remains critical for project success. As workloads stay high, firms are continuing to prioritize efficiency, safety, and clear communication to keep projects moving forward.
Employee Spotlights
This month, we’re highlighting great achievements from our Apex office. Matthew Lockemy recently passed his CST Level I certification and earned his drone license, continuing to grow his skillset in the field. We’re also recognizing Lisa Harloff, who keeps everything running smoothly, her dedication and behind-the-scenes support are a key part of the team’s success.

BCSC’s Director of Business Development, James Sanderford, PE, and Director of Engineering Business Development, Timothy Grissinger, attended the NCEDA Annual Conference last month in Wilmington. The event brought together economic development professionals from across North Carolina for several days of learning, networking, and collaboration, with sessions focused on key topics shaping the state’s growth and infrastructure. Jimmy and Tim connected with industry peers, strengthened partnerships, and gained valuable insights that support the continued success of the communities BCSC serves.
