Steven Carson, BCSC’s President, leads all operations and remains involved in every project. He oversees daily field crew activities and provides QA/QC for data collection, boundary resolution, drawings, maps, as‑builts, easements, and survey documents, backed by extensive experience with ALTA, boundary, municipal, county, NCDOT, and federal surveys.
Sean Hein, PLS, PE
Sean Hein brings over 30 years of land development and civil engineering experience to BCSC. As a licensed PE and PLS, he leads residential and mixed‑use projects with expertise in roadway improvements, stormwater systems, utility infrastructure, subdivision layout, and FEMA permitting, offering practical, value‑driven guidance for clients.

Eric Williams brings over a decade of experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering, land surveying, and advanced geophysical utility locating. He has led utility investigations for major infrastructure projects statewide, specializing in electromagnetic and GPR locating, laser scanning, and DOT‑standard data collection, providing accurate utility data and reducing project risk for clients

James Hayes, PLS
James Hayes, PLS brings 40 years of experience in boundary, topographic, and land development surveying. As Director of Operations for BCSC’s Myrtle Beach office, he oversees projects from initial research through final deliverables, ensuring precise measurements and reliable data. James Sanderford, PE
James Sanderford, PE brings 35 years of experience in design, construction, and value engineering. He has led major transportation and infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, bridge and culvert replacements, and municipal upgrades—providing practical, cost‑efficient solutions that strengthen project performance and delivery.
Tim Grissinger
Tim Grissinger brings 22 years of experience in engineering, design, and construction for municipal, commercial, and multi‑family projects. His expertise spans stormwater infrastructure, sewer and water systems, roadway design, and grading. Having worked with municipalities and agencies across the Carolinas, Tim provides practical, informed solutions that support efficient design, permitting, and project delivery.

Josh Davidson, PLS
Josh Davidson, PLS brings 19 years of experience in land surveying, utility locating, and survey operations. He manages BCSC’s field crews and daily workflows, delivering accurate boundary, topographic, staking, and SUE‑related surveys. With extensive NCDOT and municipal project experience, Josh provides precise, reliable data that supports efficient design and smooth project delivery.
Troy Klungseth, PLS
Troy Klungseth, PLS brings 28 years of experience across boundary, topographic, subdivision, and construction layout surveying. He has led survey operations for multiple firms and is highly proficient in Civil 3D, GPS, and robotic systems, delivering accurate data and reliable project support from initial planning through final deliverables.
Sonya Ward, PLS
Sonya Ward brings over 35 years of surveying experience to BCSC, including 27 years as a licensed PLS. As Director of Houseline operations, she leads a team of project managers, survey crews, and CAD techs delivering single-family and townhome unit plot plans, construction staking, and foundation and final surveys for high-volume production home builders, offering practical, value-driven guidance for residential clients.
Kristen Gibson
Kristen Gibson serves as BCSC’s HR & Recruiting Coordinator, where she helps build and support the teams that deliver our surveying, engineering, and SUE services. With a strong background in human resources and talent acquisition, Kristen streamlines hiring, coordinates with project leadership, and ensures our field and office teams are equipped for success.
Nicole Madey
Nicole Madey is BCSC’s Senior Human Resources Generalist, where she plays a key role in shaping workplace culture and supporting the teams behind our surveying, engineering, and SUE services. With a background in employee relations, organizational culture, and talent development, she streamlines onboarding, supports recruiting efforts, and partners closely with leadership to strengthen team communication and performance.
