December News for Bateman Civil Survey Company

The end of the year is here, and December 2025 is giving us a chance to reflect, recharge, and recognize the wins. From field to office, our team has pushed hard all year—and this month’s newsletter is all about celebrating that effort and setting the stage for what’s next.

Company Highlights

We’re excited to announce that our Charlotte office has moved to a new location! The new address is 10430 Harris Oaks Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28269.

Employee Spotlights

This month, we would like to highlight several employees for their recent accomplishments. Margot Phaneuf and Matthew Seiter received their FAA Part 107 licenses, Russell Bernthal is now a CST Level 1, and Christopher M. & Brandon Nelson passed their Professional Surveyor exam.

Project/Client Spotlight

Patrick Adams of M/I Homes and Bateman Civil Survey have established a strong, collaborative working relationship through their partnership on Friendship Station and Retreat at Friendship Station—two of the fastest-growing subdivisions in Wake County, North Carolina. Throughout these projects, our teams worked closely from the initial boundary survey retracement through the construction staking of erosion control measures, utility infrastructure, and roadways. This collaboration continued through the preparation of final utility and stormwater as-builts and ultimately the final platting of all subdivision lots.

Together, we maintained a consistent commitment to accuracy, communication, and project efficiency, contributing to the successful development of these high-growth communities.

Local Event Spotlights

Our Apex office celebrated fall with a Friday cookout the week before Thanksgiving. Employees enjoyed barbecue, corn hole, and a pacing competition. Shoutout to Perrin Salonek, PE and Justin Hodge for winning the corn hole tournament!

NUCA Young Leaders Golf Tournament

Last month, Andrew B. Kite and Eric Williams represented Bateman Civil Survey Company at the NUCA Young Leaders Golf Tournament, held at Riverwood Golf Club in Clayton. NUCA’s 27-hole November tournament featured sponsor stations with games, refreshments, raffles, and giveaways—all with a festive end-of-season vibe. BCSC was proud to support The Great Raleigh Cleanup and enjoy a great day on the green with industry peers.

Land Surveying and Civil Engineering Industry Updates

As 2025 winds down, the U.S. surveying industry is leaning into innovation and advocacy. Drone-based mapping continues to expand, with more firms integrating UAVs for faster, safer data collection. At the same time, national conversations around AI’s role in geospatial work are heating up—prompting renewed calls to protect licensure and clarify professional boundaries. With infrastructure funding still flowing and technology evolving fast, surveyors are positioned to lead into 2026 with both precision and purpose.

Thanks for being part of our journey this year. We’re proud of what we’ve built together—and even more excited for what’s ahead.
